08 Apr 08 - High standing charges?

Gas contracts for the coming year are showing a shift in pricing  to the standing charge to reflect changes in transportation costs. As a business it makes sense to look at the rates as an overall 'cost of ownership' rather than concentrating on unit prices. Standing charges for gas are now coming in line with those for maximum demand meters in electricity.
