All the key indicators are pointing to a 2008 of energy chaos. Oil prices show no sign of abating, the government is delaying its decision over nuclear power, the north sea is producing less gas than predicted. There are also indications that the great Ormen Lange on the Norwegian shelf is going to provide more gas to continental Europe than the UK.
